Sketchbooks are, in fact, blank books. They are pre-bound, hold no content, no words. The visual content of the sketchbooks echoes the image of the library without describing it realistically, but rather as an interpretation of an image. The book's inaccessibility as an object of knowledge and time is tested using the tools of drawing, in order to create a reduction of an image for marking a book and a shelf. That image of the book as an object and as a drawing suggests a new reading.
